Lists of passengers arriving at miscellaneous ports on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts and at ports in the Great Lakes, 1820-1873.

This collection consists of a microfilm copy of reproduced copies of original passenger lists or abstracts of passenger lists of vessels arriving at various ports on the Atlantic coast. These passenger lists contain the name of the vessel, name of the master, name of port of embarkation, date of arrival, name of port of arrival, and for each passenger: name, age, gender, occupation, name of country of origin and country of intended settlement, and date and circumstances of any deaths en route, if applicable. The abstracts usually contain the name of the district or port, quarter-year of arrival, and sometimes name of port of embarkation. Copies and abstracts contain for each passenger the same information that is found in the original lists, but some information may be abbreviated. The ports included in this collection are: Providence, Rhode Island, 1850-1867; Richmond, Virginia, 1820-1844; Rochester, New York, 1866; Sag Harbor, New York, 1829-1834; St. Augustine, Florida, 1821-1870; St. Johns, Florida, 1865; Salem, Massachusetts, 1865-1866; Sandusky, Ohio, 1820; Savannah, Georgia, 1820-1868; Saybrook, Connecticut, 1820; Waldoboro, Maine, 1820-1848; Wilmington, Delaware, 1820-1848; Yarmouth, Maine, 1820; Galveston, Texas, 1846-1871; Georgetown, Washington, D.C., 1820-1821; Gloucester, Massachusetts, 1820-1870; Hampton, Virginia, 1821; Hartford, Connecticut, 1832; Havrede Grace, Delaware, 1820; Hingam, Massachusetts, 1852; Kennebunk, Maine, 1820-1842; Key West, Florida, 1837-1868; Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, 1831; Marblehead, Massachusetts, 1820-1852; and Mobile, Alabama, 1832-1852. These materials were microfilmed by the National Archives and Records Administration in 1964.
